Offline-First PDA Scanning

Timberflow's Android app works fully offline. Scans, movements, and photos queue locally and sync when connectivity returns.

  • ✓ Full offline operation

  • ✓ Automatic background sync

  • ✓ Local Room DB storage

  • ✓ No data loss guarantee

Designed for rural connectivity

Many sawmills operate in areas with patchy or no mobile coverage. Timberflow’s PDA app stores all scans, pack movements, stocktake counts, and device logs in a local database. Nothing is lost.

Automatic sync

When the device regains connectivity - whether through WiFi at the office or mobile signal - SyncWorker uploads queued data in the background. No manual sync button needed; it happens automatically on launch, resume, and after each operation.

Conflict-free by design

The sync model is append-only for scans and movements - there are no edit conflicts. Each scan or movement is a discrete event with a timestamp and device ID, so the server can always reconstruct the correct sequence of operations.
